Counsellor Info

The following is some information about your Psychotherapy trained/Counselling Practitioner Kerri Lawler-Rotkirch.

My special interests include geographically remote workers and their families as this topic has formed a major part of my PhD research studies. I have worked in many regional and rural/remote areas of Australia and have close ties with the Far North region of New Zealand. I work and reside between both countries on a regular basis. My interest in providing on line counselling has evolved with the needs expressed to me by clients who want to retain continuity and familiarity with the counsellor they have come to trust and rely on. The On Line method of counselling ensures clients have access to me at all times.

Professional Memberships include:
Australian Association of Social Workers (Accredited Mental Health Practitioner)
Australian and New Zealand Mental health Association
Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law
Mental Health Professionals Network (Australia)

Qualifications:
BSW (Deakin University), Grad Dip.Child Psychotherapy (Monash University), Master of Psychoanalytic Studies (Deakin University)
Research interests: extreme work environments, geographically remote workers/families including FIFO, parenting problem child behaviour and family & couple relationships.

On Line Counselling from this service is for people over 18 years of age, unless arranged by the parent.
